Good afternoon,

I have been away most of the summer, so I haven't been to St. Nick's since
right before Father Ken left on vacation.  I appreciate getting the e-mails
as it seems like you are an active and faithful community.  Would you please
put our friend, Tom Beckett on the prayer list.  Tom and his wife Linda have
been friends of ours for about forty (40) years.  Tom recently had a bone
marrow transplant for Myeloma, a form of blood cancer.  He was recovering
and his transplant seemed to be working as his blood counts were moving up
in a positive direction.  Unfortunately, he has developed host/donor
disease, which is a form of rejection of the transplant.  The physicians are
working to minimize the rejection, but he is very sick.  We are praying for
his recovery, for his family, and for the medical team caring for him.
Please add Tom to the prayer list if possible.  Tom is only 61 and has been
looking forward to his retirement to enjoy his life with his wife, children
and grandchildren.  Thank you for keeping them in your prayers.
